EMTÉ Supermarkten
EMTÉ Supermarkten is a chain of large full-service supermarkets and off-licences operated by the group in the south, middle and east of the Netherlands. Its objective is regional market leadership. The emphasis is on fresh produce, a friendly ambiance and low prices.
Golff
Golff is our franchise format for full-service supermarkets. Golff is very similar to EMTÉ in terms of content and the format is also overseen from the head office in Veghel. Golff also uses the same logistics as EMTÉ. In 2010 we started merging the franchise format (Golff) and the group-operated format (EMTÉ) into one large EMTÉ format comprising both group-operated and franchise stores.
Foodservice
Sligro
The network of (currently) 45 cash-and-carry wholesale outlets in the Netherlands is also the ‘flag carrier’ for Sligro Food Group. The network, which has national coverage, works directly with the eleven Sligro delivery-service wholesale outlets. The Sligro format occupies a mid-market position. Sligro is the base on which our market leadership in foodservice is built. The very wide product range, designed for the professional user, of 60,000 items includes long-life and short-life perishables, frozen foods, wines and spirits and food-related non-food items. In addition to the A brands, we also carry a wide range of exclusive brands and imports. Pricing is keen and competitive.
Van Hoeckel
Van Hoeckel serves the institutional market. Management is based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The organisation uses logistic facilities of the Group in Amsterdam and their own in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
Production facilities
Our production facilities focus primarily on adding distinctive added value that sets Sligro Food Group apart in both the foodservice and food retail markets, with novel fresh products of excellent quality, short lead times, flexibility and, where possible, customer-specific products – and of course at a competitive price.
Culivers
Under the Culivers name, Sligro Food Group Production has production facilities for convenience meals and meal components in Amsterdam and Eindhoven. They produce around 180,000 meals a week for the hospitality sector, intramural and extramural care institutions and the retail market. Culivers is HACCP-certified.
SmitVis
SmitVis, our fish-processing business, is among the largest in the Netherlands and supports Sligro Food Group’s foodservice and food retail activities. Partly in recognition of SmitVis’s clear purchasing policy with regard to sustainability, Greenpeace named our EMTÉ and Golff formats as the best supermarkets for sustainable fish in both 2007 and 2008.
Maison Niels de Veye
In Maison Niels de Veye, our domestic caterer and patissier, we have a production facility of a very high standard. We provide foodservice under the Maison Niels de Veye label.
