Sligro Food Group's objective is to increase sales by an average of 10% each year. In our markets, that kind of growth can only be achieved by a combination of organic growth and growth through acquisitions. Assuming food price inflation of 2% per year, we believe it is possible to achieve an average of 4% organic growth in sales. Consequently, the remaining growth objective must be achieved through acquisitions. Acquisitions are difficult to time and so there may be relatively large fluctuations in growth.
Sligro Food Group believes that there are sufficient opportunities in the market to achieve the growth through acquisitions in the next few years. This of course needs parties who wish to dispose of their interests.
