Sligro Food Group N.V.’s turnover rose € 115 million or 7.4% in 2006 to €1,661 million, compared with €1,546 million in 2005.

Like-for-like turnover was up € 25 million (1.6%) in 2006, compared with a 0.4% decline in 2005. The net effect of the acquisition of Inversco in May 2006, the opening of twelve new EM-TÉ supermarkets in the fourth quarter of 2006 and the disposals in 2005 was an increase in sales of €90 million.
Like-for-like turnover in the second half of 2006 was 3.8% higher (first half 2006: 0.8% lower). Like-for-like turnover was 4.2% higher for foodservice (first half 2006: 1.0% lower) and 2.7% higher for food retail (first half 2006: no change).
Like-for-like turnover in the second half benefited from the good summer, the steadily improving sales trend and substantial growth in Van Hoeckel’s sales.
Sligro Food Group will publish its complete full-year results before start of trading on 25 January 2007.
