At the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in March 2012, Willem-Jan Strijbosch will also be proposed for appointment as a member of the Executive Board of Sligro Food Group N.V.

Since graduating in business administration at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Willem-Jan has gained wide experience in the food and foodservice sector. He started his career at Douwe Egberts and moved from there to the Out-of-Home Division of Koffiebranderij en Theehandel Drie Mollen sinds 1818. From 2000 he was Managing Director of Koninklijke Olland Group, which merged with Selecta in 2004. He is currently Country Manager and Managing Director Benelux at Selecta. Willem-Jan Strijbosch is 42 and lives with his partner and two children in Oirschot.

Sligro Food Group encompasses food retail and foodservice companies selling directly and indirectly to the entire Dutch food and beverages market. The group is active in foodservice as a wholesaler and in food retail as a wholesaler and retailer. Sales in 2010 totalled €2,286 million, with a net profit of €70 million. The group employed an average of 5,500 full-time equivalents in 2010. The Sligro Food Group shares are listed on NYSE Euronext.
