Aart Voets to join Sligro Food Group Executive Board
As previously announced, Mr Jan Geerdink, managing director food retaill, will be leaving our company in October 2004 in accordance with agreements reached when Prisma was taken over in 2000.
His successor will be Mr Aart Voets (41), who has been general manager of Meester Stegeman since 1999. Prior to that, Mr Voets worked for Ahold N.V. in various positions in sales and operations. Mr Voets will take up his new post on 1 September 2004.
Mr Voets will be a member of the Executive Board of Sligro Retail Holding and his name will also be put forward for appointment to the Executive Board of Sligro Food Group N.V. at the General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in March 2005.
He will have special responsibility for all the retail activities of Sligro Food Group N.V., viz. Prisma Food Retail, Putten, EM-TÉ Supermarkten, Kaatsheuvel, and Rosenberg Import, Almere. Also included in his portfolio will be the production company Smit Vis. The managers of Prisma, EM-TÉ, Rosenberg and Smit Vis will therefore all report directly to him. Mr Voets’ office will be in the Sligro Food Group headquarters in Veghel.
We are pleased that Mr Voets is joining our Executive Board, which will be strengthened as a consequence.
