Sligro Food Group completes sale of Milo format
On 25 February 2005 Sligro Food Group N.V. announced the sale of Milo format to Tandem Retail B.V. (in formation) which now has been completed. Operation of the Milo franchise format will be taken over by Tandem Retail B.V. (in formation) as from 18 April 2005.
Milo is a chain of over 60 tobacconists/convenience stores, run by independent operators, selling tobacco and related products, services (including Lotto, Toto and State Lottery ticket sales), newspapers and magazines, greetings cards, soft drinks, confectionery and gift items. Milo, which has national coverage, is among the larger formats of its kind serving the Dutch market. Wholesale sales in 2004 totalled €20 million, of which tobacco accounted for 65%.
